Retailer Spotlight: Museum of Fine Arts Boston
The works in the museum's exhibit speak to the monumental scale and pace of 21st-century South and East Asian urban life by using everyday objects to create immersive physical experiences. The large-scale works appear in indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the Museum, reflecting critical issues like rural-to-urban migration, consumption, construction, and pollution—while celebrating the vibrancy of today’s urban environment.
From the endless stream of migrants in densely packed Mumbai, to the bicycles that until recently filled the streets of Beijing, works by artists such as Hema Upadhyay and Ai Weiwei evoke the constant motion that characterizes emerging megacities.
The museum's shop supports the message of the exhibit through its selection of products that fit the theme in terms of material, construction or iconography.
The Museum purchased their Doodles® bicycles through Design Ideas' Write Away program, allowing them to stock up on this product and other spring and summer items while taking advantage of immediate shipping and special terms. "This is exactly what our Write Away program is designed for," says Randa Hinds, Director of Sales and Marketing for Design Ideas. "We love hearing that our products are a good fit in terms of trends and merchandising displays, and it's even better when we can give our customers the opportunity to save time and money in the process."
